Been having some fun here using a program called Capture. It's a multi track recorder that you use on your iPad. It's made by the people who brought you Studio One and is quite cool. After you are done recording all you have to do is hit a button and it transfers everything over to Studio One quickly. Then you are free to do your mixing magic from there. Also have been continuing with my adventures in open tuning, with the latest one being open d minor. Very elegant, moody sounding kind of tuning. Should be recording again very soon with a few new clients, so that should be fun. Well, as Bob Dylan said, it's time for my boot heels to be wandering.

I was always a fan of John Fahey. His finger picking style always amazed me. The fact that he started his own record company was a cool thing also. Anyway, I found out where he got some of his inspiration from and thought I would share it with you. Check out the following guitar wizards.
Blind Blake, Charley Patton, Blind Willie Johnson, Sam Mcgee and Skip James. I think you will find these guitar players interesting and very talented. The studio has been fairly quiet as not a lot of the bands have been too interested in spending the nice summer days inside a studio. Thats ok though, as I have been able to continue my education with Studio One, get a little more practice on open G guitar playing and get some of my own recording done. Still futzing around with Studio One, Band in a box and downloading free midi songs and using them in both of those programs. Been writing a lot of songs, but only have bits and pieces recorded. Am going to try and get more of these ideas down permentaly
