The last blog I said I was getting interested in Digital Performer 7. Well now we use it to record here at Peepers. I guess having my head explode learning Logic was not enough, so I had to add to the headache. It really is a nice program but I am far from being able to use it with anyone here. Getting ready for my BD Monday. Getting older really does not feel that bad.
Just finished the first part of my Logic course. Will start part two Friday and hopefully be all done by the end of April. As I said before this program has a lot more in it then I thought. So as impressed as I am with it I am being drawn to DP7 for some reason. I think it has something to do with it being the original Mac music program, or maybe I just like some of it's features. Anyway, recording will continue no matter what we are using because the music must go on.
February saw quite a bit of action her at Peepers. The Logic class I'm taking is going good but really is boggling my mind. I am not ashamed to admit this program has more power to it then I ever imagined and learning all the ins and outs is quite a daunting task. Anyway, the bands keep coming and the recording keeps happening. Lot's of mixing going on but not a lot of progress. That's the one thing I don't like about this business is everyone has an opinion as to how the mix should sound. The drummer of course wants more drums, the bass player more bass, yadda, yadda, yadda. I am thinking of hiring some big guy to tell these guys to shut up and let me do my job. March looks just as busy for us but again I would not want it any other way.
No I did not forget to post new stuff here. Between classes and recording it has been very hectic here at Peepers. I am just now getting a chance to write something for you, but am to tired to think. Just got done twitting and getting some crap off my chest and now need to go home and get some rest. I will write more of last months adventures this weekend, so please come back for an update.
All around nice guy and Chief Engineer at Peepers.
