What is Peepers Records?
Peepers is a combination of Jo's Basement Studio where all our acts do their recording magic and Peepers where we sell those songs. We mainly cater to solo artists or small bands who want a very comfortable environment to write, rehearse, record, mix and master in. We have studio musicians to help out with any parts you are not comfortable with undertaking as well as a large amount of instruments for you to use. We have several song writers who are working on CD's right now and find Jo's a very relaxing place for them to compose. Prices are based on a project plan, with rates starting at $20 per hour with very reasonable hikes from there up. We use Akai, Apogee and M Audio interfaces. Combine that with a choice of Logic, Cubase, Reason, Digital Performer or Pro Tools for your DAW. We have state of the art i5 and i7 27 inch iMacs to get all of your ideas down. We can get special pricing for CD's in any amount with a standard 2-10 day turn around time. If you want to get your music heard digitally and we think it's a hit we will pay to get your music out thru CD Baby. If you already have some music done but are shy with mixing or mastering we can do that for you. Rates are based on what kind of project you are recording and the time frame you have in mind. Mixing and mastering are done on a "until you like it' basis with a flat fee of $25 per song for mixing, and $50 per song for mastering. If you want to record, mix, master and have videos and photography done we can partner with our parent company picturesbyjo and figure out a very reasonable price so that everyone will be happy.
